The German Pancakes are worth the wait and the slower than normal service on a weekend morning. When we showed up about 11:30 on a recent Sunday morning there was a wait for a table. The place was jumping. The menu is extensive including a separate dessert menu for take-out.
There are signs everywhere about their special apple pie which we didn’t try this time but we will the next time. We each ordered their German Pancake described as crepe-like with fresh apples and cinnamon. What showed up eventually was probably the best crepe creation we have ever had, anywhere….not typical pancake at all. It was served in a deep bowl with lots of slices of the fresh apples collected in the bottom. The pastry itself was thin and crispy around the top and moist in the bottom. The cinnamon sugar was served on the side. At just under $10 each it was an awesome breakfast and too much for us to handle. We both left with a doggie bag. If you are in the Livingston area this diner is worth stopping at and, for sure, try the German Pancakes.
