Gloria Vanderham is appointmented as chair of the Rutgers University Alumni Association’s Board of Directors (Rutgers University Alumni Association)

A dynamic global community requires leadership driven by excellence, compassion, and the pursuit of the greater good. Please join the worldwide Rutgers University alumni community in congratulating Gloria Vanderham RC'00, SCILS'00 on her appointment as chair of the Rutgers University Alumni Association's Board of Directors. Vanderham takes over from outgoing board chair Debra A. Holston O'Neal LC'87, whose tenure has also been a model of excellence and scarlet pride.

Vanderham has long supported many Rutgers causes, including the Athletics Excellence Fund, R Big Ten Build, and scholarships for student-athletes. Her husband Gary RC'97, RBS'99 is an equally enthusiastic Rutgers advocate. "We support athletics," Vanderham told Rutgers Magazine in 2017, "because the lessons you learn on the field—personal responsibility, integrity, teamwork—are critical for success in life."

A widely recognized professional in healthcare and life sciences communications, Vanderham is chief executive officer of Bliss Bio Health and Next Practices Group Health following an accomplished career at Novartis Oncology. She completed her tenure at Novartis as Regional Head of Communications for Europe.
