A Unique Business Education & Career Learning Experience for New Jersey High School Women

Newark, NJ—The Garden State Woman Education Foundation invites young high school women interested in an education or career in business to our 2^nd Annual Business & Leadership Summit on Saturday, February 7^th from 9:00am to 2:30pm at the Rutgers Business School in Newark, NJ. Co-sponsored by KPMG and PNC Bank, the Summit provides an opportunity for more than 20 successful women business leaders to share their experience and guidance while encouraging high school girls to consider pursuing a business oriented education and career. The 1^st Annual Summit held on May 2, 2014 attracted 150 attendees from 28 high schools throughout the state.

Donna Cardillo, RN and Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) with over 30 years of clinical, managerial, and business experience will provide opening remarks. Otherwise known as the Inspiration Nurse, Cardillo is passionate about empowering women and all healthcare professionals. She is an expert blogger at DoctorOz.com, a successful author, and twice named Business Woman of the Year in New Jersey.

Katie Dahler, Principal in KPMG's People & Change Management Advisory practice, will be one of our talented panelists. Katie is a passionate advocate for the advancement of women in business, serving as the NJ Co-Leader of KPMG’s Network of Women, was named the 2012 Healthcare Businesswomen Association’s “Rising Star”, and is a member of POWER: Opening Doors for Women.

The Garden State Woman Education Foundation was founded in 2007 to inspire and educate New Jersey businesswomen through educational networking events, and to provide scholarships and mentoring to exceptional NJ high school girls who will be attending a four-year New Jersey college.
