Indra Zuno – First Historical Novel

Indra Zuno – First Historical Novel

Her first historical novel -  Freedom Dues – is a well-researched, authentic period piece. Set in 1729 England, the story line describes individuals forced to face the grueling hardships of indentured servitude.  Although the characters are figments of her imagination, the narrative of the culture at the time is very authentic.

The cruelty that prevailed and the unfathomable injustice perpetrated by the English hierarchy on immigrants – mainly Irish & Scots – are documented historical acts. To flee such harsh treatment, indentured servitude in the new colony of America seemed an okay option.  The human spirit and dogged determination were critical components of the characters in the Indra Zuno novel, Freedom Dues (This email address is being protected from spambots.
