Bria BarnesBria Barnes I am a junior at William Paterson University, studying Elementary Education with an Endorsement in Middle School English Writing and the Honors Literary and Performing Arts Track. In a valiant effort to ensure that I graduate in four years, I decided to take seven courses this semester including four English courses, two Education courses and a Women and Gender Studies course. Additionally, I received the opportunity to join an Anthropological Research Team; together we studied the educational infrastructure of Prospect Park, NJ. After graduation, I plan to to begin teaching with the AmeriCorps Teach for America program and soon after begin courses towards a Master's degree.

Nana MarfoNana Marfo I am a 4th year student attending Rutgers University in New Brunswick/Piscataway. My major is Information Technology with a minor in Music. Post graduation, I plan to attend graduate school to obtain my Master's in Information Technology (hopefully at NJIT) and become a Project Manager and then a Chief Information Officer in the future. On campus, I hold several positions such as an Apartment Assistant, Information Assistant, and Treasurer of Twese: The Organization for Africans and Friends of Africa. The Garden State Woman Association has been a great help financially throughout my undergraduate pursuit thus far. Ms. Judy Chapman has also been great with getting in contact with me--whether it be taking me out to eat or just a simple email to check and see if everything is going smoothly.

Cherae BoyceCherae Boyce I am currently a senior at Rutgers University-Newark pursuing a double major in Psychology and Women's Studies. During my time at Rutgers-Newark, I have become quite involved on campus, working in departments like Housing & Residence Life, Academic Services, and Academic Foundations. I currently hold a position as a Student Assistant in the Office of Student Life & Leadership, and serve as Vice President of the Gamma Zeta Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. My involvement in various departments and organizations at Rutgers-Newark has played a pivotal role in my own personal development and decision to pursue a career working with the college-student population. Pending graduation, I plan to pursue a graduate degree in Higher Education with an emphasis in Counseling and College Student Development. I am excited to take this next big step in my academic career, and anxiously await my opportunity to work in the field of Higher Education.
